  1. Thank you for coming to my TED talk 🎓

lol Ok seriously. To give a little context to this video

My friends regularly have to listen to me rant about things like this. Eventually, one of them suggested I stop being a closet evangelist and actually speak about some of these topics online. So, here I am…I guess this makes you my friend? 🤔

➕ Something I wish I said in this video:
    – OF COURSE if your health is at risk or a doctor has put you on a diet, please follow your doctor’s orders
. There are legitimate cases where a diet is exactly what is needed to restore health. In this video, i am specifically referring to non-health related dieting.

    Big love,

    Kola

  2. I’m so glad I found your channel two days ago…I never want to diet again. I just want to eat the foods I love in moderation ❤️💯

  3. That remindes me of my sister when she asks me what I ate for dinner, I always eat an egg and some veggies. She the asks me: Are you on a diet again? No, I'm not on a diet. I have a healthy lifestyle. Period.

  4. Thank you for this! I definitely needed to hear all of it especially about the dieting and not keeping up with muscle mass. I am going to work on building muscle.

  5. Thank you💖💖💖
    You are very inspiring💖

  6. Thank you Cola for this video. What you said is totally true. To lose weight and keep the weight off is to make a lifestyle changes not only dieting during a specific time frame. Calories deficit and workout are helping me to stay on track and love my food. I wish I had known that principle earlier which would have save me time and money. I like your videos and follow your workout. Love you and thank you for being honest!

  7. This is one of the best realest video on how to eat. the problem arise when people wake up and feel the pressure of looking a certain way. I am also against diet.

  8. Oh Kola I'm sympathizing so much with you thanks to this. Your words are eye-opening and your repetitions don't matter! I think I will rewatch this a couple times, it's such a gem!
    Love, Alli

  9. I love your rant! It made me realize that I need to focus on my relationship with food.

  10. I have never heard anyone else make the joke that I constantly make every time I say the word regret. It's kind of amazing 😂
But in all seriousness, thank you for this video. I had an eating disorder years ago and it's a lifelong journey. It's important to take care of ourselves for its own sake and not for the approval of others. They don't know you like you know you and if you don't know you, get to know you. I'm sure they're pretty great 💚

  11. 8:40 this brought me to tears. this video really resonated with me. i have been feeling very insecure about my body over the last year or so. i really needed to hear this. sometimes all the subliminal messaging about what my body needs to look like as a girl gets to me. thank you so much for being brave and posting this video.

  12. You’re passionate that’s why you’d cry whilst telling us!! I love you for that! Thank you!!

  13. This is so damn true. Besides that personally I gained weight every single time I tried a restrictive diet. More than I lost even, to a level that I am obese. This year I started intuitive eating and the overeating is gone, the binge is gone, and I am actually loosing weight. It’s a slow process when you are checking why you eat and make healthier choices but not diet or go paranoid over food. But I’d say that doing it alone is very difficult, I am having professional help and it’s so much better.

  14. so glad you kept this video up! quinoa in the rice!!! that’s genius!!! it adds protein!!! thanks for all you do!! you have helped me and my family so very much!

  15. I personally had to learn when you said, that "whatever you can do, is go good for your body". That really changed my life. But most of all it changed my marriage. I've monitored what does or doesn't make me gain weight and I do agree that fried foods, pizza, and white rice are bad for people looking weight. I also realized that these bad foods are perfectly ok in moderation. The moderation keeps me from binging and getting wiped out from too much carb intake at one time.
    Anywho Kola!
Keep being an inspiration to others. Most especially me! This rant was great! I'm sure people who have a bad relationship with food can benefit from this video!

  16. I think you are awesome ,and your video is so down to earth and genuine you have helped me a great deal and I have nothing but love to give to you for being there for me KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO ,YOUR AWESOME TO ME….❤❤❤❤❤❤
