2 CARB FRIED CHICKEN! How to Make Delicious KFC Keto Fried Chicken

Happy New Year Everyone! Today, on Low Carb Love, we are making the most requested recipe for the new year, KETO KFC FRIED CHICKEN! The easy is incredibly easy to follow along and it so delicious and moist! Leave a comment below if you’d like an Extra Crispy Version 💕

Keto KFC Fried Chicken:

Servings: 10

1.5-2 Pounds Skin on chicken, cut into pieces
1 eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
Plastic bag
1 1/2 cups almond flour
1 tablespoon tapioca flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp paprika
½ teaspoon xanthan gum
½ teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon white pepper
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Avocado oil for frying

*Allow the chicken to dry for at least 30 minutes or up to 1 hour.

1. Rinse the chicken pieces with cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Make sure your chicken is as dry as possible.
2. In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, and stir. Soak the chicken in the milk mixture for 30 minutes in the fridge, this tenderizes the chicken.
3. Combine the flour and spices (if using) a large bowl . Add the chicken pieces, a few at a time, and shake to coat completely in the flour. Shake off any excess and set the chicken aside on a rack to dry.
4. Pour the oil into a deep skillet or deep fryer and heat it to 350 degrees F. Add chicken thighs and legs and cook for several minutes.
5. Add other chicken pieces being careful not to overcrowd skillet. Continue cooking, turning once, until chicken pieces are golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels and serve warm or at room temperature.

  6. Have you tried frying chicken in lard. Butter Bob lost lots of weight eating that. Notice old pictured from the 1970s. Nobody was fat everyone cooked in lard.

  10. Never heard of using a dipping sauce for KFC style fried chicken.

    Is the carb amount in your recipes per item such as 1 thigh or for the entire servings amount. For example this chicken yields 10 servings. Is the carb count for the total 10 servings or for each piece of chicken. Thank you. That way I’ll know for reference on all your recipes. The meat lovers pizza was a 2 carb crust so if one would eat the entire pizza over the course of a few days then I’m assuming you’d still only have a total of the 2 carbs.

    I used Almond Meal and
    Did not have the tapioca flour, the skin did not attach to the chicken…
    I also had the cream and egg left in the fridge for 2 days…

  18. Amazing!!! Cooked this tonight, 2 versions. One with chicken as you made it for my other half who doesn't do keto and one for me substituting the chicken with Quorn fillets as I'm veggie. My other half said its exactly the same if not better than KFC as it tasted clean and healthy. I've never eaten KFC and loved it. The flavours are great! Other half has just wandered in the room again and is still talking about it, he said it was supreme and probably the best chicken I've ever cooked 😁. Thank you SOOOOO MUCH!!!! 😍

  22. I just finished eating these, and it was so good. I used chicken tenders instead, they were nicely breaded on the outside, and so juicy on the inside. I had to fry two batches, my second batch got some dark crumbs stuck on it from the first batch, if you want to avoid that empty the pan out and put some new oil, but I was too lazy. This recipe was perfect, thanks for making keto enjoyable 😀

  24. I love your recipes and watching your videos like my personal keto recipe guru, but I was wondering, I have seen so much on Lupin flour, and people swear by how good it is. Do you have any info on Lupin flour or have any videos on it? People love it for making breads, donuts, or cinnamon sticky buns with. I'm not sure what the calorie intake is on those recipes though, as I'm watching my calories as well as being careful of carbs.
